Important safety information

Clomiphene is a prescription medicine. It is not right for everyone: pregnancy; ovarian cysts not due to PCOS; liver disease; abnormal uterine bleeding of unknown cause; use in men for low testosterone, which is off-label and not something we prescribe. Tell your doctor about every condition you have and every medicine and supplement you take.

Common side effects are described below. Stop and seek care for any severe or unexpected reaction. This page is education, not medical advice; your doctor and pharmacist give the instructions for your treatment.

How to get started

  • Message us on WhatsApp or call (954) 420-7747.
  • Talk with a licensed doctor, who reviews your health history and decides if this medicine is right for you.
  • If prescribed, our team shares pricing and a licensed pharmacy fills your order.
Plain-language guide

Clomiphene, explained by our clinical team

What it is

Clomiphene has helped women ovulate since the 1960s. By blocking estrogen feedback at the brain, it increases the hormones that trigger egg development and release.

Treatment is coordinated with a gynecologist or fertility specialist and includes monitoring for multiple pregnancy and ovarian enlargement. We list it for its approved use only.

FDA-approved uses

  • Ovulatory dysfunction in women desiring pregnancy, where other causes of infertility have been addressed

Our doctors prescribe for approved uses. Any other use is a decision made only by your doctor, for you, after evaluation.

How it is taken

One tablet daily for five days early in the menstrual cycle, with ovulation expected about a week later. The dose may be raised in later cycles.

What to expect

Ovulation in most women within the first cycles. Hot flashes, bloating, mood swings and visual symptoms can occur; an increased chance of twins is well known.

Who should not take it

  • Pregnancy
  • Ovarian cysts not due to PCOS
  • Liver disease
  • Abnormal uterine bleeding of unknown cause
  • Use in men for low testosterone, which is off-label and not something we prescribe

Questions we hear

How many cycles?

Usually up to six under specialist guidance.

Is it used for men?

Not as an approved use; we do not prescribe it off-label.

What monitoring is needed?

Ultrasound and hormone checks arranged by your fertility clinic.
