Tadalafil is a prescription medicine. It is not right for everyone: anyone taking nitrates or riociguat; unstable heart disease or recent stroke; severe liver or kidney disease without dose adjustment. Tell your doctor about every condition you have and every medicine and supplement you take.
Common side effects are described below. Stop and seek care for any severe or unexpected reaction. This page is education, not medical advice; your doctor and pharmacist give the instructions for your treatment.
How to get started
- Message us on WhatsApp or call (954) 420-7747.
- Talk with a licensed doctor, who reviews your health history and decides if this medicine is right for you.
- If prescribed, our team shares pricing and a licensed pharmacy fills your order.
Tadalafil, explained by our clinical team
What it is
Tadalafil is the long-acting member of the PDE5 family. A single dose works for up to 36 hours, and a low daily dose provides continuous readiness without timing.
Because it also relaxes smooth muscle in the prostate and bladder, it is the one PDE5 inhibitor approved to treat BPH symptoms.
FDA-approved uses
- Erectile dysfunction
- Signs and symptoms of benign prostatic hyperplasia
- ED and BPH together
Our doctors prescribe for approved uses. Any other use is a decision made only by your doctor, for you, after evaluation.
How it is taken
Either 2.5–5 mg once daily at the same time each day, or 10–20 mg as needed before sexual activity, no more than once a day.
What to expect
With daily use, erections become reliably easier within a week; urinary flow symptoms improve over about four weeks. Headache, back or muscle ache, flushing and indigestion are common.
Who should not take it
- Anyone taking nitrates or riociguat
- Unstable heart disease or recent stroke
- Severe liver or kidney disease without dose adjustment
Questions we hear
Daily or as needed?
Daily suits men who want spontaneity or who also have BPH symptoms; as-needed suits occasional use.
Can I drink alcohol?
Moderate amounts are usually fine; heavy drinking raises the chance of dizziness and low blood pressure.
Is it safe with finasteride?
Yes, that combination is common for men with BPH.
